Data from Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) shows that on a monthly basis (MoM), mobile phone imports recorded a growth of 12.62% and amounted to $65,780 million in October 2022 from $58,407 million USD in September 2022.
Pakistan imported mobile phones worth $227,051 million in the first five months (June-October) of fiscal year 2022-23, down 66.94% from $644,672 million in the same period last year.

The import value of mobile phones in September 2022 decreased by 72.06% year-on-year to $209,013 million compared to $209,013 million in the previous month.
Pakistan Telecom Import Value
Total Pakistan telecommunications imports into the country stood at $3,45,677 million in the first Five months of fiscal year 2022-2023 and recorded a negative growth of 59.17% compared to $846,573 million in the same period last year.
However, on a year-over-year basis, overall Pakistan telecommunications imports recorded a negative growth of 53.62% and amounted to $96,805 million from $208.699 million in October 2021-22. On a monthly basis, overall Pakistan telecommunications imports recorded a growth of 22.78% in October 2022 compared to $78,846 million in September 2022.
Imports of other equipment amounted to $119,626 million between July and October 2022 and recorded a negative growth of 40.75% compared to $201.901 million in the same period last fiscal.
